News - Press Releases
The first Advisor was originally designed built into a standard Golf cap or
Visor. Feedback from our users indicated that the product would be imprroved by
self containing all the electronics into a miniaturized clip-on form factor that
could still be worn attached to headgear, but would also have the flexibility to
be worn on a lapel, belt, kept in pocket or mounted to a cart. The below
articles were published in response to our headgear form factor device, and show
press reaction to the exciting technology Advisor introduced, now improved with
the new design. This page will be updated with new articles on the new form
factor device, as they appear.

Must-Have Golf Gadgets for 2011
SkyKap Advisor – Having trouble tinkering with your laser rangefinder or are
your handheld devices eat up more time than actually taking shots? Inventor and
golf enthusiast Gail Garratt developed a product that made distance measurement
very easy. The SkyKap Advisor is a small device that can be clipped on your
visor, collar, or on the golf cart. Simply press a button, utter a voice command
(like “Distance to green”), and the Advisor automatically tells you the distance
thanks to its realtime GPS system. Information on golf courses can be downloaded
through Advisor’s course access website and transferred via USB. Each SkyKap
Advisor costs about $199.
